AASPN Educational Course

The AASPN Educational Course (formerly the Asian-Australasian Advanced Course in Paediatric Neurosurgery, AAACPN) was born of a vision to establish a worldwide course that would foster the development of pediatric neurosurgery through the education and training of residents and practicing neurosurgeons.
Founded on the highly successful European Course, the AASPN Educational Course forms part of a cycle of courses held in each of the four main regions of the world—Europe, the Americas and Asia/Australasia. It has the endorsement of the World Federation of Neurological Societies and the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery.

Covering the major topics in Pediatric Neurosurgery, the scientific program is divided into annual courses over a 3-year cycle, including didactic lectures, case-based discussions, mentoring, and hands-on components . During the course, the transfer of expertise is actively promoted and encouraged between the teachers and the participants.

Through its educational course, the AASPN hopes to build a common spirit amongst neurosurgeons with pediatric neurosurgical interests, fostering the development of confidence, collaboration, and progress.

Join us for a brighter future.

Next Course: Manila 2026

The next AASPN Educational Course will be held in Manila, Philippines from 7 to 10 May 2026, organized with the Academy of Filipino Neurosurgeons.
